I did not know about pnpm at first. The first time I heard about it was from a colleague who said I needed to deploy this frontend and backend CRM.

I thought, why so much complexity? Why so many files? npm is fine.

That opinion stayed until I deployed a Node.js backend and the Docker image took like 10 minutes to build once.

After researching, I understood that when we build a Docker image with turbo prune, it creates a minimal subset of the monorepo that includes the target service, all shared packages, and only the required files.

This makes the Docker build so much faster now any new deployment takes about 1 minute. Before, it used to take me like 10 minutes for changes to reflect.
